Bed Bug treatment Process by Westfall’s
- Free inspection – They’ll inspect your home to identify signs of bed bugs (e.g., blood spots, shed skins, musty odor) and determine the full extent of infestation.
- Liquid treatment – Technicians treat affected rooms by applying liquid treatments to mattresses, box springs, bedframes, furniture cracks/crevices, baseboards, etc. They may remove mattresses temporarily during the process.
- Follow-up visits – After the initial treatment they return twice (first about 14 days after, then another ~14 days later) to verify treatment success and adjust if needed. A 30-day warranty is offered for re-treatment if bed bugs recur.
- Prevention advice – They also educate clients about how bed bugs enter, how to prevent future infestations (e.g., used furniture, luggage after travel) and help reduce risk.
What you’ll need to do / prep
- Before treatment: They provide a “prep sheet” telling you how to prepare the room(s) to be treated (e.g., clearing clutter, moving furniture, laundering bedding).
- After treatment: Allow the treatment to work and follow any instructions (e.g., avoid bringing in used furniture without inspection, monitor for signs of activity).
- Because bed bugs are very resilient and hidden, your cooperation makes a big difference in effectiveness.
Why this approach is strong
- They treat all stages of life (eggs → nymphs → adults) by targeting cracks/crevices and mattress/bed-areas where bed bugs hide.
- Multi-stage follow-ups help catch survivors or newly hatched bugs, which is important because one treatment often isn’t enough.
- They combine treatment + prevention + education, rather than simply spraying once and walking away. For any of your bed bug concerns please call Westfall’s 941-761-0125.
